Wood turtles can be kept as pets. However, this type of turtle requires a large cage, which must be suitable outdoors. In addition, you must also provide a deep water area. As for the soil area, you need to provide moist soil so that wood turtles can dig and make egg-laying sites.

The Wood Turtle (Glyptemys insculpta) is not the result of a crossbreed between turtles, but rather an indigenous breed of turtle. This type of turtle has a unique way of eating: kicking the ground using its chest to attract worms to the surface. It also has a hammer carved into its carapace. On the other hand, female wood turtles usually look for a place to lay their eggs in late spring.
